Prodrive Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Prodrive V8 Vantage

It seems the first signs of improvement to the Aston Martin range have come from the David Richard’s and Investment Dar consortiums buyout. Prodrive has already been partnered with Aston Martin through GT Racing, but have now released a selection of after market upgrade packages to improve the performance and handling of the V8 Vantage.

The Prodrive Packages

The seperately available packages on offer from prodrive are:

  • Power upgrade – £6239
  • Aerodynamics upgrade – £2937
  • Suspension upgrade – £5581
  • 19″ Forged Alloy Wheels – £3995

Power upgrade

The power upgrade consists of a high flow sports catalyst, exhaust control valve and ECU remap to compliment the changes and improve the peak power output. With these changes the Prodrive fettled Aston achieves an additional 45bhp and 23lbft of torque making a new peak power of 425bhp and 325lbft from the 4.3l V8 engine.

Aerodynamics upgrade

The areo package consists of little more than a carbon fibre front lip and rear spoiler, but decreases lift by an incredible 45% at speed. So they are obviously more than just three thousand pounds worth of eye candy!

Suspension Upgrade

The suspension upgrade consists of in-cabin driver-adjustable Bilstein dampers and Eibach sports springs to improve the ride and handling of the car. An additional option to available compliment the uprated handling is the lighter 19″ forged Prodrive alloy wheels, these are 8.5″ wide at the front, 10″ wide at the back and are bound in 245/40 and 285/35 Pirelli P Zero Corsas respectively.
