Anybody thinking of upgrading from version 2.7.1 to 2.8 should think twice before doing so as it seems I’m not alone. I take regular Database backups but annoyingly my file backups are wildly out-of date :(

The WordPress automatic update really did a number on my sites, I’ll likely spend the weekend restoring everything now, I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
